GENERAL
If you are interested in working for Access SUMMIT in a support role please read through the information below carefully and then complete the on-line registration form. Please note: to register you must be aged 18 or over.
Access SUMMIT will consider the information you have provided and if you are considered to be suitable for any of the roles we currently have available we will make contact with you. You will be invited to a meeting with a member of the Support Service Team.
If your experience and qualifications are suitable for one of our roles, but we currently have no need for such support workers we may ask for your permission to keep your details on file for future use.
It may be the case that your experience and/or qualifications do not meet our requirements or there may be other more appropriately qualified and/or experienced candidates for the limited positions we have available. If this is the case, we will let you know. However, if we have any doubt we will contact you to ask for more information.
We will need to check that it is legal for you to work in the UK and whether you need a work permit or visa; you will need to show proof of your right to work.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO PROVE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK
To comply with Section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, and amendments in May 2004 you must supply the following original documentation:
Either one of the following:
- A passport showing you are a British citizen, or have the right of abode in the UK
- A document showing that you are a national of a European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland - this must be a national passport or national identity card. (Countries are: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Switzerland is also included)
- A residence permit issued by the Home Office if you are a national from an EEA country or Switzerland.
- A passport or other document issued by the Home Office which has an endorsement stating you have a current right of residence in the UK as a family member of a national from an EEA country or Switzerland who is resident in the UK
- A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that you can stay indefinitely in the UK, or have no time limit on your stay.
- A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that you can stay in the UK and that this endorsement allows you to do the type of work you are offered if you do not have a work permit.
- An application Registration Card issued by the Home Office if you are an asylum seeker stating that you are permitted to take employment.
If you are unable to provide any of the above documents you may provide the following documents instead:
- A document showing your National Insurance Number and name. This could be a P45, P60, National Insurance card, or a letter from a Government Agency.
Plus one of the following:
- A full birth certificate issued in the UK, which includes the names of your parents, OR
- A birth certificate issued in the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Ireland OR
- A certificate of registration of naturalisation stating that the holder is a British citizen OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to yourself which indicates that you can stay indefinitely in the UK, and you have no time limit OR
- An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to yourself with an endorsement indicating that you can stay indefinitely in the UK, and have no time limit on your stay OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to yourself which indicates that you can stay in the UK and allows you to do the type of work you have been offered OR
- An Immigration Status Document issued by the Home Office to yourself with an endorsement indicating that you can stay in the UK, and allows you to do the type of work you have been offered
Or we can accept the following combination:
- A work permit or other approval to take employment
And one of the following documents:
- A passport or other travel document endorsed to show that you can stay in the UK and can take the work permit employment in question OR
- A letter issued by the Home Office to yourself which indicates that you can stay in the UK and can take the work permit employment in question.
Please note, it is up to yourself as a potential employee to show that you are permitted work.
These documents are required before you commence employment.

In addition, we will need:
- Your National Insurance Number
- Evidence of your Degree or Specialist Qualifications - e.g. certificates

- Your Bank Details - Account No/Sort Code
Access SUMMIT Support Workers are required to complete an Enhanced CRB Disclosure and we will discuss this with you at the meeting.
IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL
After successful registration your details will be stored on our database. Your skills, experience / qualifications and availability will be used to match you with students when their details and needs become known to us. If you are successful, we cannot guarantee you work.
Once matched with a student Access SUMMIT will be the first point of contact for any assignment queries, while Randstad HR Solutions will deal with payroll and human resources issues. Access SUMMIT provides all the assignment related paperwork and documentation, including job descriptions, time sheets, guidance and information leaflets. However, you will be employed by Randstad HR Solutions on a Contract for Services and you will be paid via Randstad's payroll:- statutory deductions will be made including, if applicable, National Insurance Contributions, Income Tax and any other deductions required by law.
