Library Support Assistant £6.60 per hour To collect and return books; locate, retrieve and carry books; search library catalogues; photocopy articles; enlarge text from source materials; scan text and provide in agreed format. Experience of HE;
Experience of providing support or working with adults.
Personal Support Assistant
Mobility Assistant
£7.90 per hour To provide mobility support and / or practical assistance to students in order to enable them to access their courses. Experience of HE;
Experience of providing support or working with adults.
Note Taker £6.60 per hour - unqualified
£10.50 per hour - qualified
To take hand-written summary notes for students in taught sessions.
Experience of HE;
Clear and legible handwriting;
Accurate spelling and grammar.
Reader £9.25 per hour To read relevant material out loud to students;
To make digital recordings of material as required.

Experience of HE;
Clear reading voice.

Materials adaptation / Transcriber £9.25 per hour To transcribe material from one format into another agreed format e.g. from audio or hand written notes to printed text or electronic format.
Experience of HE;
Accurate spelling and grammar;
Well developed IT skills

Key Worker

£10.50 per hour To undertake a range of roles according to the study/learning context including notetaker, reader, library support assistant, mobility assistant and to act as a motivator, assisting student adjust to college life, reducing anxiety levels, encouraging meeting of deadlines, encouraging attendance.

Experience of HE;
As for notetaker, library support assistant and reader
And
Excellent problem solving skills;
Mature attitude;
Understanding of university life/requirements.

Specialist Disability Support Worker   To provide support where required in relation to the client’s condition or impairment (e.g. specialist mobility trainer, Braille specialist).

Experience of HE;
Relevant specialist qualification (e.g. mobility trainer, Braille specialist, Aspergers specialist, mental health specialist).

Study Skills Tutor £27.15 per hour to include preparation and follow-up time for record keeping

£30.75 per hour (with completed Access SUMMIT Electronic Portfolio) to include preparation and follow-up time for record keeping

To provide individual study skills tuition to students who have difficulties with accessing the course because of the impact of the client's condition or impairment

Experience of HE;
Full Teaching Certificate or equivalent.

Language Support Tutor £27.15 per hour to include preparation and follow-up time for record keeping

£30.75 per hour (with completed Access SUMMIT Electronic Portfolio) to include preparation and follow-up time for record keeping
To provide language support to deaf students. Experience of HE;
Full Teaching Certificate or equivalent.
Relevant additional experience / qualification (e.g. teacher of deaf).
Study Coach £30.75 per hour to include preparation and follow-up time for record keeping To provide individual study skills tuition to students who have difficulties with accessing the course because of the impact of the client's condition or impairment

And to
act as a mentor by assisting the development of organisational skills, agreeing work targets and focusing on academic or work related progress.

Experience of HE;
Full Teaching Certificate or equivalent.
Relevant additional experience / qualification (e.g. coaching / counselling).

Assistive Technology Trainer £27.15 per hour to include preparation and follow-up time for record keeping
To provide technology training in the use of assistive technology resources to disabled / dyslexic students.

Experience of HE;
Relevant additional experience / qualification (e.g. teaching / training / coaching)
