We can supply a range of support workers to students in The Greater Manchester and The North West area. Support Workers can assist with a range of study related functions including:
Study Coaching - if you have difficulties with study skills / organisation and motivation - a Study Coach can help with a wide range of study related difficulties arising from a specific learning difficulty e.g. dyslexia / mental health difficulty / autistic spectrum disorder. Please note that this support cannot be subject specific.
Notetaking - if you have difficulties with making adequate notes - a notetaker can attend your taught, timetabled sessions with you and and make summary notes for you. These can then be made available in either a handwritten or electronic form.
Reading - if you have difficulties with reading - a reader can read to you from books/journals on your reading lists or from books/journals you have to use to complete coursework and revision.
Library assistance - if you have difficulty with using library facilities - a library assistant can help you locate and obtain books.
Transcription - if you have an audio recording of a taught session or you need to access text in an alternative format e.g. large print - a transcriber can convert source material into a format you can use.
